AlertNet – A humanitarian news network based around a popular website. It aims to keep relief professionals and the wider public up-to-date on humanitarian crises around the globe. 

American Red Cross – Contains extensive information about planning, preparing, and responding to disasters. Also includes information on training and volunteer opportunities. 

CDC Emergency Preparedness and Response – This site is intended to increase the nation's ability to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies, natural disasters, and terrorism related events. 

DisasterAssistance.gov – The official U.S. Government source for how to get help in case of a disaster. 

FEMA – The official website of the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency. The site contains information about preparing for and responding to disasters, as well as information on getting involved in your community and obtaining federal aid. 

FEMA for Kids – The Federal Emergency Management Agency has created a fun kid-oriented site with tips, games and more. 

Landmark Learning – The leading year-round, multicertification training center for outdoor educators and emergency medical personnel. Landmark provides Wilderness First Aid, First Responder, and EMT training as well as custom-designed programs, including a unique Relief Medic program that teaches students how to deliver emergency care during disasters. 

National Weather Service – The most up-to-date source on weather conditions and weather related warnings across the U.S. Your local news stations get there information here.

Natural Hazards Center – The Center collects and shares research and experience related to preparedness for, response to, recovery from, and mitigation of disasters, emphasizing the link between hazards mitigation and sustainability. 
 
NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center Provides forecasts and alerts about space weather, such as solar and electromagnetic storms, that could impact telecommunications and electronics. 
 
PreventionWeb – Serves the information needs of the international disaster risk reduction community, including the development of information exchange tools to facilitate collaboration.
